Cellars and Production

Our Fattoria Casalino is located in the municipality of Castelnuovo Berardenga, 10 km north of Siena, in the heart of Tuscany, 350 m. s.l.m., on the state road 222, the historical Chiantigiana (km 53 / III). The slopes of the vineyard of about 23 ha, all located around the small farmhouse, are facing east, south and west. The soil here in the Chianti Classico area, one of the oldest vineyards in the world, is made up of alberese and galestro. It is difficult to work, but it allows to produce a wine of excellent quality. The vine is the traditional Sangiovese, with us at its optimal age. In honor of Jacopo Della Quercia, an artist born in the 14th century in the nearby Quercegrossa and author of the splendid Fonte Gaia, in the Piazza del Campo in Siena, we chose the oak branch as a symbol of our natural products.
